Then we're halfway there already. Your artwork should be supplied as flattened, CMYK files at a minimum resolution of 300dpi in either PSD, JPEG, TIFF or PDF format. We will also accept other files, such as EPS, AI, INDD, QXP or Microsoft Documents, but these are often not print ready, so WILL incur extra charges.

Please do not include any crop, bleed or folding marks on your artwork. We should be able to tell where the bleed is, and any other instructions should be supplied as a text file supplied with diagrams if necessary.

Remember to add 5mm Bleed to your designs (2.5mm on every side) and to make any important text or images at least 2mm from the edges of your artwork (internal bleed). Example of Bleed.

Any specific colours that need to be matched on the print should be specified with a Pantone reference, and/or a hard copy provided of the colour representation. Please note, Lamination and Gloss finishing can change the apperance of certain colours.

Getting your artwork to us - All artwork sent to us must be accompanied by your order details, any reference or quote we have provided to you, a delivery address and your contact details. If you are getting your designer to send through the artwork, please also get them to include their contact details.

If your artwork is under 15MB, please email it direct to office@kodopress.com.

If you have multiple files of a few Megabtyes each, please send them in multiple emails - we will receive it quicker and be able to start processing it sooner.

Feel free to use compression on the files - we can open ZIP, RAR, SIT or SITX files.

If you dont want to or cannot send via email, we are happy to download from your own FTP / HTTP webspace, simply email us the links along with your order and contact details.

Alternatively you can use a free upload service such as http://www.yousendit.com. Once you have uploaded the files, put the links in to an email along with your order and contact details and send to us.

Once artwork has been received, you will receive a proof and invoice details normally within 24 hours.

We have a team of designers on standby to produce anything from business cards to booklets, through to posters and vouchers. Our wide range of skills means that any design is possible - whatever you are after - plus our rates are competitive.

If you would like us to design something for you, contact us immediately. We'll probably need some more info, so have a sit down and a cup of tea for an hour and think through these points :

- Size. You need to think of your final size requirements first, as this will affect the amount of information you can put on your design.

- Pages. Open a TXT document and make some different sections for each page i.e Front / Back. Page 1, Page 2, Page 3 etc etc.

- Copy. We need you to type up all the text required for each page of your artwork. We can do this for you, but it will fall in to priced design time. Ideally, please type up all your text in to a TXT document, or if not, a Word Document. Please note : Any styles or font changes applied in the Word document will be completely ignored.

- Important Info. Go over your Copy several times to make sure it sounds right, it reads right (sometimes reading it aloud helps this) and most importantly, you have remembered to enter things such as name, date, venue, contact phone number, website, prices, and other important items crucial to your advert.

- Highlight. Go through the document again and highlight areas you need us to accentuate on the design and ideas of how to so this. Put them in brackets after each area. i.e (BIG and RED - must be highlighted). This helps us work out the message you are trying to get across with your artwork.

- Ideas. Write a short note as to how you want your design to look. Do you want something abstract? Professional? Something that will stand out? Something corporate? Do you need it in the same style as your last batch of printing? Has your competitor/friend got artwork you would like us to imitate? If you have any images or artwork, please email it to us for reference.

- Images. We need your logo in a high resolution format - preferably an EPS, AI, or in PDF format. If you only have a JPG of it, send it through anyway, but email us the very best version you have. If you have any photos you want us to use, email those through too - but they need to be big and high resolution. A photo taken by a 3 Megapixel Camera for instance will be OK, an image found on a website somewhere probably won't be! If you can't find the images you want, tell us what you want to see and we'll get it for you.

- Other. Anything else you think we need to know. Colours you don't like. Images you don't want. Certain feelings you want the artwork to emote. How quickly you need it by. Anything you think will be relevant to us while we're doing our job.
